CLP Complient Labels

CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008

CLP (Classification labeling & Packaging) regulations have replaced the dangerous substances/preparations regulation know as chips, it now applies to all preparations with the exception of cosmetic & medical preparations.

The implementation of these regulations has involved significant changes to the product data sheets and labels. The most obvious change has been the hazard warning signs which will become a white diamond with a red edge, there are also some new symbols.

There has been confusion due to changes in some classifications in particular the classification "causes serious damage to eyes" This requires the corrosive diamond but in reality the product might not be corrosive at all.

Think of it as getting soap in your eyes. It may cause alot of discomfort but you would not normally say its corrosive.

Anyway C.L.P. is here to say so will just have to work with it.
